There's a reason supervision is compulsory during post-graduate programmes such as the MSc in Coaching Psychology at UEL - because the real shifts happen when we step back and examine not just what we're doing, but how we're being whilst we coach. My own greatest growth spurts came during those university supervision sessions, reflecting on my coaching practice and exploring my behaviours in the coaching space. My next huge evolution was when I trained as a coach supervisor with ICCS, undertaking intensive supervision and understanding how we show up when coaching impacts not only our clients, but ourselves.
